Summer Break

Posted: May 24, 2012 in Collide Events

Summer 2012 is upon us and we are gearing up for a great one!  We’ve got Collide Youth Camp, Junior High Mission Trip to the Texas valley, Super Summer Leadership Camp, High School Mission trip to Devine, Leadership Retreat, Senior Mission Trip to New Orleans, Summer Bible studies, Boot Camp, Block Party Local Missions, and something nearly EVERY Wednesday night.

With this type of schedule, we are taking a break from our regular scheduled blog, but we’ll be back in August!

No Collide Next Wednesday

Thanks for coming out and “being a bringer” to last night’s Collide Event!  We hope you enjoyed hearing from Melvin Adams.  My heart skipped a beat when Jacob’s half-court shot almost won him $5,000!  I was already planning my steak dinner I was going to talk him into buying for me.

Have you seen the YouTube video of the guy shooting his daughter’s computer for her disrespect?  We can’t post it here due to the language, but you’ve probably heard about it because it went viral.  If you are in town, make sure you are in your Collide Small Group this weekend because that will be the topic of discussion.  Did he go to far?  Is he a crazy dad?  Do you agree with him?  Collide Small Groups start at 9:40am in the Collide room.

What can I do this week?

1. Continue in your reading for “40 Days in the Word” if you haven’t completed it.

2. Pick a friend who doesn’t have a relationship with Jesus and pray for him or her every day during Spring Break.

YouTube Night Recap

Posted: November 17, 2011 in Collide Events

If you missed YouTube night, we’ve posted the winner’s here.  Before we move on to the winners, let us give you something applicable you can do or consider doing this week.

1. We’ve got a need for some students to help us contact people on our rolls.  If you don’t mind calling people, we could really use your help.  Send Brett and e-mail or text to let him know your availability.

2. Invite a friend to come with you to your small group this week.

Obviously not everything on YouTube is appropriate.  If you search for videos and find things on those pages that are inappropriate, use good judgment.  We can’t control what is there like we could for YouTube Night
